  It'll be 5 years on March, 31st as my lease isn't being renewed(without reason) that I've lived here. Overall, the only part that was nice was my actual block as there's a lot more jews than usual. The neighborhood didnt too much bother me as I only interacted with the post office and a local hair dresser. Living at 1040 Neilson Street was ups but A LOT more downs for the mere fact that about a year or two Ive encountered a number of mice. Wrote management and there was nothing done about it. I had other issues with the apartment as far as molding is concerned with the walls and nothing was done about that but once your about two months backed up in rent they're quick to bring you to court! The super lives in the building and he isn't that much of a help, he's very rude and tried to come onto me a couple of times. Being that I was a female living in an apartment on my own, he thought there was things he could say and try to do to me. When i brought it up to management, the bare minimum was done. He denied all allegations brought up about him in front of his WIFE!, that cleans the building everyday! I've hadn't had a problem with roaches as I can count on one hand the amount of them Ive seen. If you aren't too good with noise, I wouldn't suggest it!...the neighbors I have has kids and they just let them wild & free and if you do not have carpet youre going to hear everything. The good side of this apartment that is it is VERY big and spacious! and I believe that is the only thing I WILL MISS!
